Advance & Absentee Voting

Advance Voting

Advance Voting is held in the Board of Elections and Voter Registration Office between the hours of 9am to 5pm and generally starting the third Monday and ending on the Friday prior to any Primary or General Election. The first and second Saturday within that period will also be available for Advance Voting.

How does Absentee by Mail voting work?
Absentee by Mail ballots are for those who are unable to go to the precinct on the election date. Examples include those in the military, the elderly and disabled etc...

To obtain an Absentee ballot:

  • Complete an application online at

  • Call 770-567-2003 and request an application be mailed.

  • Download 

 

An Application for Absentee Ballot must be filled out and returned to The Board of Elections and Voter Registration Office. Absentee by Mail ballots can be requested no earlier than 78 days prior to the election and no later than the 11th day before the election. The voted ballot must be received by your county registrar no later than close of the polls on Election Day.
